The China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services opened at the China-Belarus Industrial Park in Minsk, capital of Belarus, on June 30.

Nearly 100 companies involved in things such as project contracts, machinery equipment, construction materials, automobiles, motorcycles, electric home alliances, financial services, and logistics exhibited their products at the event.

China National Machinery Industry Co (Sinomach) had the most exhibitors at the expo and the company, along with its eight subsidiaries, has an exhibition area of more than 600 square meters.

A number of Chinese and Belarusian government officials and business leaders, including Cui Qiming, Chinese ambassador to Belarus, Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach, and Han Shengjian, deputy director of the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

The event is expected to play a key role in promoting Belt and Road regional cooperation, and Sinomach has always been enthusiastic about promoting the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), said Zhang Xiaolun at the opening ceremony.

According to Zhang, the company has undertaken 773 projects in 48 countries involved in the BRI, signing nearly $80 billion in contracts.

CMEC International Exhibition Co, a subsidiary of Sinomach, was also an organizer of the exhibition, which is the first non-commercial exhibition the Chinese government has held in Belarus.

A China-Belarus B2B conference will also be held during the exhibition, which will consist of nearly 200 buyers from Belarus and neighboring countries discussing cooperation with the exhibitors.
