The 2019 China (Guangzhou) International Emergency Safety Expo opened at the Poly World Trade Center Exhibition Hall in Guangzhou, capital of South China’s Guangdong province, on June 17.

This is the ninth year in a row that China National Machinery Industry International Co (Sinomachint) has held the event, which has developed into the third largest emergency safety and firefighting expo in China.

This year’s exhibition covered an area of more than 30,000 square meters and nearly 500 companies took part.

More than 40,000 people from over 20 countries and regions, including Germany, France, Norway, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia, attended the event and shared their views and experiences in emergency safety.

Attendees included Shan Chunchang, head of the emergency management panel of the State Council, Liu Daxiang, academic of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Huang Biao, director of the Guangzhou municipal bureau of emergency management, Harald K. Drager, chairman of the International Emergency Management Society, and Amjad Ali, deputy director of Pakistani national disaster management authority.

More than 20 themed activities, including industrial summits, business seminars, and free lectures, also took place during the expo. More than 80 Chinese and foreign media organizations covered the event.
