Tong Zigang, vice-president of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), met with Bachir Ismal Ouedraogo, energy minister of Burkina Faso, in Beijing on Sept 3.

The two sides discussed energy projects undertaken by CMEC in Burkina Faso. During their discussions Tong introduced CMEC's experience of implementing similar power projects in other African countries, saying that CMEC is confident in its ability to build high-quality projects for Burkina Faso.

Ouedraogo said that he had faith that CMEC would deliver the projects on time and to a good standard, expressing his satisfaction in previous work completed by the company. He expressed his hopes that the two sides would continue to make efforts to accelerate the implementation of the project.
