Themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity", the Boao Forum for Asia 2018 Annual Conference, ran from April 8 to 11 in Boao, South China’s Hainan province.

A high-level forum for leaders from governments, businesses and academia in Asia and other continents, the event attracted more than 2,000 guests from around the world.

Ren Hongbin, chairman of China National Machinery Industry Co (Sinomach), took part in the forum and delivered a speech at a sub-forum about logistics on April 9.

During the speech, he proposed three key words for logistics businesses, which were service, professional and integration.

He said that service is the core of the logistics businesses; professional technologies support their regular operation; and the capability of integration is what they have to work on for further developing.

He also extended his best wishes to the industry, saying that the Belt and Road Initiative and the Made in China 2025 strategy have provided many opportunities for logistics businesses. Technologies such as cloud computing, big data and block chain will lead the developmental direction of intelligent logistics.
