An inauguration ceremony and the first meeting of the China-France Entrepreneurs Council commenced at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Jan 9. Ren Hongbin, chairman of China National Machinery Industry Co (Sinomach), attended the event as a member of the Chinese board and delivered a speech.

Sinomach has made great achievements in cooperation with French businesses in agricultural machinery and power generation projects, according to Ren.

The company will continue to strengthen partnerships with France under the Belt and Road Initiative and work with them on the research and development of equipment technologies and intelligent manufacturing to realize ecofriendly development.

The event was organized by China’s Ministry of Commerce and France’s Ministry of Economy and Finance.

At present, the council consists of 15 Chinese companies and 17 French companies. All of them are industrial leaders in both countries, covering manufacturing, agriculture, biomedicine and finance.
